SilverGuard AI Wins Double Honours at the 2026 HKMA/HKT Global Innovation Award

On June 29, 2026, my co-founder Sonia Chu and I had the privilege of attending the 2026 HKMA Global Innovation Day at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organised by The Hong Kong Management Association in partnership with HKT, the event brought together innovators from across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and international markets — all gathered under one roof to celebrate the organisations pushing boundaries in their respective fields. Heartfelt thanks to HKMA, HKT, and Prudential Hong Kong for making this platform possible.

We are truly honoured that SilverGuard Technologies Limited received not one but two awards: the Bronze Award (Rising Stars) and the Prudential Hong Kong Best in HealthTech Innovation Award (Rising Stars). Standing alongside so many remarkable enterprises — from ambitious startups to established corporations — was humbling. Special thanks to Ir Prof Sunny Lee BBS JP, Prof Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges GBS JP, and Titania Woo for their leadership in championing innovation across Hong Kong. Seeing the depth of talent at HKCEC reminded us how vibrant this city’s innovation ecosystem has become.

These recognitions belong to the entire SilverGuard team and, more importantly, to the elderly communities we are building for. For us at SilverGuard AI, healthtech innovation is not just about technology — it is about dignity, safety, and connection for ageing populations. Awards like the Prudential HealthTech accolade reinforce our conviction that the SAFE Loop framework can make a tangible difference, not only in Hong Kong but wherever ageing societies need smarter, more compassionate care solutions.

  • Reflections from HKSTP and AWS’s 2026 Technical Hands-on Workshop: Networking, AI Insights, and Business Evolution

Reflections from HKSTP and AWS’s 2026 Technical Hands-on Workshop: Networking, AI Insights, and Business Evolution

Attended the 2026 Technical Hands-on Workshop and Networking Mixer co-hosted by HKSTP Techathon+ and AWS recently—a timely dive into emerging tools shaping the tech landscape. A standout moment came when I reconnected with a CUHK senior, whose candid feedback on SilverGuard AI sparked fresh angles for refinement. His perspective, drawn from real-world experience, reminded me how vital these exchanges are for steering ventures forward. Grateful for such serendipitous encounters that sharpen focus amid rapid innovation.

The session centered on hands-on exploration of AWS’s new AI-powered coding IDE, Kiro—designed to enable agentic, spec-driven development with autonomous agents that handle tasks like generating tests, optimizing code, and updating documentation. As someone deeply invested in technology, I found the demo engaging, highlighting how such platforms accelerate prototyping while adapting to user needs. From an entrepreneurial standpoint, it was intriguing to dissect Kiro’s positioning in a crowded market flooded with AI assistants. What sets it apart—its unique selling proposition—lies in its cloud-agnostic approach and event-driven automation hooks, allowing seamless workflows across files without tight vendor lock-in. This prompted self-examination: for SilverGuard AI, our edge rests on privacy-first AI for elderly fall prevention, blending edge computing with blockchain to deliver secure, actionable insights in care settings.

Witnessing fresh entrants like this reinforces a core belief—rivalry fuels advancement. With AI tools proliferating, expect refined features that boost efficiency across industries. Yet, as business leaders, complacency isn’t an option. Staying agile means routinely assessing client pain points, tracking trends, and pivoting strategies to align with evolving demands. This proactive stance defines resilient entrepreneurship, ensuring ventures like ours not only survive but lead in health tech niches.

Events like these energize the journey, blending inspiration with practical takeaways. Eager for more opportunities to collaborate and innovate in Hong Kong’s vibrant ecosystem.

Unveiling SilverGuard AI’s Sleek New Business Cards: A Blend of Tech and Elegance

Thrilled with how SilverGuard AI’s latest business cards turned out—they strike just the right balance between sophistication and innovation. As someone who juggles roles as an entrepreneur, tech aficionado, and avid designer, I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. The overall aesthetic feels polished and uncluttered, but it’s the back side that steals the show: an embossed motif blending circuit board elements with ECG waveforms, lifting the entire piece to a fresh level of refinement.

Sure, crafting standout cards isn’t the core of any enterprise, yet they speak volumes about our dedication to the venture. They mirror the precision and care we pour into every aspect of SilverGuard AI. Grateful for the innate knack for visuals that lets me tackle these projects; beyond corporate needs, I often dive into creating logos, user interfaces, and even illustrations in my downtime.

I’ve always gravitated toward striking visuals, drawn to polar opposites in style—from stark minimalism to bold, immersive graphics. That same versatility will shape the user experience and interface for SilverGuard AI’s platform—keep an eye out for updates as we roll them out.
