SilverGuard AI Wins Double Honours at the 2026 HKMA/HKT Global Innovation Award

On June 29, 2026, my co-founder Sonia Chu and I had the privilege of attending the 2026 HKMA Global Innovation Day at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organised by The Hong Kong Management Association in partnership with HKT, the event brought together innovators from across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and international markets — all gathered under one roof to celebrate the organisations pushing boundaries in their respective fields. Heartfelt thanks to HKMA, HKT, and Prudential Hong Kong for making this platform possible.

We are truly honoured that SilverGuard Technologies Limited received not one but two awards: the Bronze Award (Rising Stars) and the Prudential Hong Kong Best in HealthTech Innovation Award (Rising Stars). Standing alongside so many remarkable enterprises — from ambitious startups to established corporations — was humbling. Special thanks to Ir Prof Sunny Lee BBS JP, Prof Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges GBS JP, and Titania Woo for their leadership in championing innovation across Hong Kong. Seeing the depth of talent at HKCEC reminded us how vibrant this city’s innovation ecosystem has become.

These recognitions belong to the entire SilverGuard team and, more importantly, to the elderly communities we are building for. For us at SilverGuard AI, healthtech innovation is not just about technology — it is about dignity, safety, and connection for ageing populations. Awards like the Prudential HealthTech accolade reinforce our conviction that the SAFE Loop framework can make a tangible difference, not only in Hong Kong but wherever ageing societies need smarter, more compassionate care solutions.

Proud Milestone: SilverGuard AI Settles into CUHK InnoHub for New Quality Industries

Sonia and I were thrilled to attend the official opening and settlement ceremony of the CUHK InnoHub for New Quality Industries this March. Representing SilverGuard AI, we were deeply honored to be among the very first batch of companies to take up residence in this new hub.

The event radiated strong institutional backing for Hong Kong entrepreneurs expanding into the Greater Bay Area. It was especially meaningful to see the CUHK President, faculty members, and professors present to witness the occasion.

This move marks an important step forward as we scale our elderly care technology solutions from our Hong Kong base across the Greater Bay Area and beyond.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers and, in particular, the two dedicated colleagues at the center who made the settlement process smooth and efficient.

Looking forward to the opportunities this new chapter will bring.
