Proud Milestone: SilverGuard AI Settles into CUHK InnoHub for New Quality Industries

Sonia and I were thrilled to attend the official opening and settlement ceremony of the CUHK InnoHub for New Quality Industries this March. Representing SilverGuard AI, we were deeply honored to be among the very first batch of companies to take up residence in this new hub.

The event radiated strong institutional backing for Hong Kong entrepreneurs expanding into the Greater Bay Area. It was especially meaningful to see the CUHK President, faculty members, and professors present to witness the occasion.

This move marks an important step forward as we scale our elderly care technology solutions from our Hong Kong base across the Greater Bay Area and beyond.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers and, in particular, the two dedicated colleagues at the center who made the settlement process smooth and efficient.

Looking forward to the opportunities this new chapter will bring.

Expanding Horizons: Site Visit to Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation Hub with Brian

Ventured across the border with Brian to inspect the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub, a vibrant incubation center fostering startups in the region. As a budding enterprise rooted in Hong Kong, we’re actively scouting avenues to broaden our reach while staying committed to serving local needs first. Our operations center here, but eyeing the Greater Bay Area holds promise for scaling impact.

Shenzhen emerges as a logical gateway for such moves, given its proximity and supportive infrastructure. Today’s guided tour, arranged with the hub’s staff, revealed tailored resources for Hong Kong-based firms—streamlined registration, shared workspaces, and funding pathways that simplify mainland entry. Gaining clarity on these mechanics equips us better for potential steps ahead, aligning with our goal to enhance elderly care solutions through SilverGuard AI without losing sight of home turf.

Appreciative of the warm welcome from the Qianhai team; future partnerships could prove fruitful. Here’s to smooth collaborations that benefit both sides. At the same time, we remain grounded: Hong Kong forms our foundation, and prioritizing its community drives every decision.

Cross-Border Ventures: Key Learnings from HKSTP’s “Enter the He Tao: Experience the Innovation Dual City” Event

Participated in HKSTP’s “Enter the He Tao: Experience the Innovation Dual City” initiative, a well-structured outing that highlighted synergies between Hong Kong and Shenzhen’s tech hubs. As a local entrepreneur, I value how basing operations here allows seamless global outreach while tapping into Greater Bay Area markets. This visit shed light on logistical supports—like streamlined customs at Huanggang Port and shared facilities at the Shenzhen branch—that ease expansion for Hong Kong firms venturing northward.

Guided by on-site coordinators, we toured modern offices and presentation spaces at the He Tao Shenzhen Park Exhibition Hall in Changfu Jinmao Building, followed by a shift to the HKSTP Shenzhen Branch for an overview of tech trends. Settling in an open lounge with simple snacks fostered casual chats among attendees, blending knowledge-sharing with relationship-building. Connected with several fellow innovators and experienced advisors, exchanging views on scaling health tech solutions like SilverGuard AI amid regional dynamics.

Capped the day with a relaxed dinner in Shenzhen, reflecting on how such immersions bridge divides and unlock practical pathways for growth.
