    Grateful to my CUHK Electronics Engineering senior, Cheong, for extending an invitation to the Annual General Meeting of the CUHK Greater Bay Area Alumni Association. The gathering introduced me to numerous accomplished figures, including mentors who arrived with their protégés, allowing connections with a mix of experienced leaders and rising talents.

    Cheong went a step further by endorsing my membership in the association. This move not only keeps me informed about upcoming initiatives but also creates avenues to absorb knowledge from its impressive roster of members, enriching my entrepreneurial path with SilverGuard AI.

    The AGM paired with a lunch reception at Chung Chi College’s staff restaurant, featuring a guest talk by Professor Terence Chong Tai-leung, Associate Dean of New Asia College. His outlook on 2026 economic trends offered sharp, forward-looking analysis that proved enlightening. Overall, a rewarding afternoon filled with valuable exchanges.

    What began as a simple father-son trek evolved into a rewarding group expedition when my senior from CUHK’s United College, Elaine, tipped me off about an alumni-organized hike. After a quick chat with my dad, he agreed we’d blend in with the university crowd—leading to a lively stroll through Tai Po’s trails alongside fellow graduates and enthusiasts.

    A seasoned herbalist guided us along the paths, pointing out local medicinal plants, categorizing them, and explaining their properties. Surrounded by CUHK Chinese medicine alumni, the conversations flowed naturally, introducing me to diverse perspectives from various cohorts. It was great reconnecting with Cheong, a familiar face from prior college events, who kindly linked me with Dr. Zhou from CUHK’s Shenzhen Research Institute Incubation Center. His expertise promises substantial value for advancing SilverGuard AI’s initiatives in senior wellness tech.

    Shoutouts go to the seniors for looping us in, but special praise belongs to my dad. He’s not one for large social settings, yet he stepped up to join this vibrant mix, gaining from the knowledgeable exchanges while supporting my pursuits. His quiet willingness means the world—truly appreciative of such rare gestures that strengthen bonds amid busy entrepreneurial paths.
