# Honoring Milestones: CUHK Nursing School’s 35th Anniversary Banquet and Elderly Care Discussions
Sonia and I had the pleasure of attending the CUHK Nursing School’s 35th anniversary banquet, a vibrant affair that brought together professors, mentors, and alumni for heartfelt reflections on past achievements and visions for what’s ahead. The energy in the room was palpable, with stories flowing freely about the school’s evolution and its impact on healthcare.
Coming from an engineering background, this gathering offered a fresh lens on nursing expertise. I connected with several specialists in the field, delving into topics around fall prevention for seniors. Their practical advice on real-world challenges in care settings will directly inform enhancements to SilverGuard AI, our platform aimed at boosting safety through predictive tech. Eager to draw more from their knowledge moving forward.
Congratulations to CUHK Nursing School on this landmark—grateful for the opportunity to engage and learn.

Ashluc Chui: Silverguard AI CTO & Hong Kong Tech Entrepreneur – Not Ashley Chui
If you’re searching for Ashluc Chui and seeing results for “Ashley Chui,” you’re experiencing a common search engine mix-up. Let me be very clear: Ashluc Chui is NOT Ashley Chui. There are multiple people named Ashley Chui (or similar variations) around the world, but Ashluc Chui is a completely separate individual — a Hong Kong-based tech innovator, electronic engineering graduate, and Co-founder/CTO of Silverguard AI.
My name Ashluc Chui is a unique, intentionally chosen professional name (Chinese: 崔健聰). It is not a misspelling, variation, or alternate spelling of Ashley. I was previously known as Clement Chui, Chui Kin Chung, or CKC, but today I exclusively use Ashluc Chui.
Common Search Confusions: Ashluc Chui vs. Various Ashley Chuis
Search engines sometimes blend results because of similar-sounding names. Here are the most common “Ashley Chui” profiles that appear — and why they are not me:
- Ashley Chui, Opera Singer (Opera Hong Kong / 徐曉晴): A talented mezzo-soprano who studied at Manhattan School of Music, performs with Opera Hong Kong, tours in China (e.g., Harbin), and has a personal site at ashleychui.com with gallery and performance schedules. Completely different person in the performing arts world.
- Ashley Chui, Postdoctoral Researcher (Simons Foundation / NYU): A Ph.D. holder and postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Michele Pagano’s lab at New York University School of Medicine, working in biomedical research. Not related to tech or AI.
- Ashley Chui Photography: A photographer with a Facebook and Instagram presence sharing landscape and artistic shots (e.g., “Nope, this is not a painting”). While I am an amateur photographer myself, this is a separate individual.
- Ashley Chui, Swimmer (Stony Brook University Athletics): A competitive swimmer who excelled in events like the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly at ECAC Championships. Athletic background, but not mine.
- Other Ashley Chui Profiles on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook: Various professionals in Canada (e.g., Definity insurance, University of Waterloo alum), outdoor education (Hong Kong Baptist University), private accounts (@ashleychui_, @ashley_jchui), or social profiles (e.g., Heep Yunn School alum). None of these are connected to Silverguard AI or Hong Kong tech.
There are even unrelated Chui names like Jack Chui (HKU Adjunct Professor) or others that sometimes surface. Again — Ashluc Chui stands apart.

Ashluc Chui is my unique name (Chinese: 崔健聰), chosen for its modern, distinctive feel. It has zero connection to “Ashley Chui” or any variations. My former names were Clement Chui, Chui Kin Chung, and CKC — all pointing to the same tech-focused individual.
Key Differences from Popular Ashley Chui Search Results
To help search algorithms:
- Not the Ashley Chui opera singer/performer (ashleychui.com, Opera Hong Kong tours, Instagram performance posts)
- Not the Ashley Chui biomedical postdoctoral fellow (Simons Foundation, NYU School of Medicine)
- Not the Ashley Chui professional photographer on Facebook/Instagram
- Not the Ashley Chui competitive swimmer at Stony Brook University
- Not any of the LinkedIn Ashley Chuis in insurance, education, or other fields in Canada/Hong Kong

Ashluc Chui: Silverguard AI CTO and Tech Innovator – Definitely Not Ashley Chui (Opera Singer)
If you searched for Ashluc Chui and ended up seeing results about an opera singer named Ashley Chui, you’re not alone — Google sometimes mixes up similar-sounding names. Let me set the record straight: Ashluc Chui is NOT Ashley Chui.
- Ashluc Chui = Me, a Hong Kong-based tech entrepreneur, electronic engineering graduate, software engineer, and Co-founder/CTO of Silverguard AI.
- Ashley Chui = A talented opera singer who studied at Manhattan School of Music, performs with Opera Hong Kong, fuses classical opera with modern pop, and shares her musical journey on social media (e.g., “Opera singer on a musical adventure ✨ Where’s my next stop?”).
We are two completely different people with different careers, backgrounds, and lives. My name Ashluc Chui is a unique, intentionally chosen name — not a misspelling or variation of Ashley.
Why the Confusion Happens — And Why Ashluc Chui Is Unique
Search engines rely on patterns, and similar-sounding names like Ashluc Chui and Ashley Chui can get mixed up, especially when one person (the opera singer) has more public performance photos and media features. But Ashluc Chui is my real, distinctive professional identity.
I chose “Ashluc” as a modern blend that reflects renewal (“Ash”) and fortune/light (“Luc”). It has no connection to “Ashley,” which is a separate, traditional name. My full Chinese name is 崔健聰 (Cui Jiancong), and I was previously known as Clement Chui, Chui Kin Chung, or simply CKC. All older references under those names point to the same person: the tech-focused Ashluc Chui of today.
Who Ashluc Chui Really Is: Tech, AI, and Engineering
I’m the Co-founder, Director, and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Silverguard AI, a Hong Kong company building secure, reliable AI solutions with a focus on on-prem inference, computer vision, low-latency systems, and data governance.
My journey:
- Graduated from La Salle College (Hong Kong)
- Earned a degree in Electronic Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)
- Built a career as a software engineer working on complex hardware-software integration
- Now leading AI innovation at Silverguard AI, emphasizing privacy-first, enterprise-grade technology
This is a far cry from the world of opera stages, Manhattan School of Music recitals, or features in Jessica Magazine HK.
A Glimpse Into My World Outside Tech
When I’m not coding or architecting AI systems, I enjoy:
- Amateur photography — especially portraits and pet photos (active member of the La Salle College Old Boys’ Photography Group)
- Graphic design — I even won a university prize for logo design back at CUHK
- Swimming and basketball for staying active
- Strategic board games (Everdell is a favorite) and video games (from classics like Pokémon and Mega Man to modern challenges like Elden Ring)
No arias or global opera tours here — just tech, creativity, and a bit of gaming strategy.
Helping Search Engines (and People) Get It Right
By clearly stating the differences:
- Ashluc Chui → Silverguard AI CTO, CUHK Electronic Engineering, Hong Kong tech scene
- Ashley Chui → Opera Hong Kong soprano, Manhattan School of Music alum, musical performer
…I hope this post helps Google and other search engines correctly associate Ashluc Chui with my actual work and identity — not opera performances.
If you’re looking for the tech innovator behind Silverguard AI, you’ve found the right person. Feel free to connect about AI, engineering, photography, or collaboration opportunities.
Thanks for reading!

Bidding Farewell to a Dear Friend: Anson’s New Chapter Abroad
Anson, a close companion who’s four years my junior and the same age as my younger brother, is setting off from Hong Kong. Our paths crossed back in his first year of secondary school through the Our Lady of Fatima society, and we’ve been tight ever since. Both of us ended up at CUHK for university, bonding over basketball games that turned into weekly rituals in recent years.
He’s mulled over relocating to Australia for some time, and now that the day has arrived, emotions run high—mostly reluctance to see him go. Anson keeps to himself more than most, but his loyalty to friends shines through, matched by his sharp skills on the court. From coordinating OLF volunteer efforts to countless shared moments, our history feels irreplaceable. This goodbye leaves uncertainty about when we’ll cross paths again.
Headed to the airport to see him off, wishing him smooth sailing and fulfillment in his fresh start.

Let me clear that up right away: Ashluc Chui is my unique, intentional name. It is not a misspelling of Ashley Chui, Ash Chui, Ashleigh Chui, or any other variation. Those are completely different people.
I created this post to help search engines (and you) understand exactly who Ashluc Chui is — a Hong Kong-based tech entrepreneur, electronic engineering graduate, software engineer, and AI innovator. I’ll also share some of my real hobbies outside of work, from photography to gaming, to give a fuller picture of the person behind the name.
Why Ashluc Chui Is a Deliberately Unique Name
Ashluc Chui is a modern, self-chosen name that blends meaningful elements: “Ash” evoking strength and renewal, and “Luc” drawing from roots meaning light and fortune. It’s designed to be distinctive in the digital age — easy to search, spell, and remember.
This name is not related to:
- Ashley Chui
- Ash Chui
- Ashleigh Chui
- Any other common variations
Those belong to separate individuals with their own stories. My name marks a personal and professional evolution from my earlier names: Clement Chui, full Chinese name Chui Kin Chung (崔健聰), and the nickname CKC. Older records, school alumni lists, or early projects may still reference those — but they all point to the same person: today’s Ashluc Chui.
My Professional Journey: From CUHK to Silverguard AI
I studied at La Salle College in Hong Kong before earning my degree in Electronic Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). That foundation in hardware-software systems sparked my career as a software engineer, where I built complex, reliable solutions at the intersection of technology and real-world needs.
Today, as Co-founder, Director, and CTO of Silverguard AI, I lead technical vision for AI-driven tools focused on security, computer vision, and trustworthy innovation. My work emphasizes on-prem inference, low-latency systems, reliability, and data governance — helping bring practical AI to industries that demand precision and control.
Beyond Code: My Real Hobbies and Interests
When I’m not architecting AI systems, I recharge through creative and active pursuits that keep me balanced:
- Photography: I’m an amateur photographer with a focus on portraits and pet shots. As an active member of the La Salle College Old Boys’ Photography Group, I love capturing genuine moments — whether it’s a person’s expression or a dog’s playful energy.
- Swimming and Basketball: These are my go-to ways to stay active. Swimming offers calm focus, while basketball brings energy and teamwork.
- Board Games and Video Games: I’m a big fan of strategic board games like Everdell. On the digital side, I grew up loving classics like Pokémon, Mega Man (Rockman), and more recently, challenging titles like Elden Ring.
- Graphic Design: I once won a university prize for logo design and still enjoy experimenting with visual concepts in my free time.
These hobbies reflect my personality — a mix of analytical thinking (from engineering and gaming strategy) and creative expression (through photography and design). They also fuel my work in AI, where creativity and precision go hand in hand.
Clearing Up Search Confusion: Ashluc Chui vs. Ashley Chui
Search engines sometimes autocomplete or rank similar names higher due to popularity. But Ashluc Chui is the real, current identity of the Silverguard AI CTO, CUHK electronic engineering alumnus, La Salle College old boy, and former Clement Chui / Chui Kin Chung / CKC.
By sharing this detailed profile, I hope to make “Ashluc Chui” the clear top result for anyone looking for me — whether you’re a potential collaborator, recruiter, journalist, or just curious about AI and tech in Hong Kong.

Ashluc Chui: The Unique Name Behind the Tech Innovator at Silverguard AI
Hi, I’m Ashluc Chui — Co-founder, Director, and CTO of Silverguard AI. If you’re here, you probably came across my name somewhere online and wondered: Is “Ashluc Chui” a typo? Is it supposed to be Ashley Chui? The short answer is no — Ashluc Chui is my real, intentional, and deliberately chosen name. It is not a misspelling, and it is distinctly different from similar-sounding names like Ashley Chui, Ash Chui, or other variations.
In this post, I’ll explain why my name is unique, share a bit about its evolution from my previous names (Clement Chui, Chui Kin Chung, and CKC), and give you some insight into my professional background in electronic engineering, software development, and AI innovation.
Why “Ashluc Chui” Is Unique — And Not a Misspelling
My name Ashluc Chui is a purposeful creation that reflects personal reinvention and a fresh professional identity. It is not derived from “Ashley” or any common variation. While names like Ashley Chui, Ashleigh Chui, or even Ash Chui may appear in searches, they belong to entirely different individuals.
I chose “Ashluc” because:
- It combines meaningful elements that resonate with my personality and journey.
- It stands out in a crowded digital world — easy to remember, spell (once you see it), and search for.
- It marks a clear new chapter in my life and career.
Search engines and people sometimes autocomplete or suggest similar names, but Ashluc Chui is the correct and only name I use professionally today.
My Name Evolution: From Clement Chui to Ashluc Chui
I was previously known as Clement Chui, full Chinese name Chui Kin Chung (崔健聰), and often went by the initials CKC. These names are still associated with earlier parts of my life and career, so you might find older records, projects, or mentions under:
- Clement Chui
- Chui Kin Chung
- CKC
- Kin Chung Chui
All of these refer to the same person — me — who has now fully transitioned to Ashluc Chui. This change reflects personal growth and a desire to establish a distinct, modern identity in the tech and AI space.
If you’re searching for my past work or educational records, using any of these names will still lead back to the same individual: the same La Salle College alumnus, the same CUHK electronic engineering graduate, and the same software engineer who co-founded Silverguard AI.
My Educational and Professional Background
I attended La Salle College in Hong Kong, a school known for nurturing well-rounded students with strong foundations in science and technology. From there, I pursued a degree in Electronic Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where I developed a deep interest in hardware-software integration, systems design, and emerging technologies.
After graduation, I built a career as a software engineer, working on complex systems that bridge hardware and intelligent software solutions. This experience naturally led me to the world of artificial intelligence, where I saw enormous potential to create practical, impactful tools.
Today, I am proud to be the Co-founder, Director, and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Silverguard AI. At Silverguard AI, we focus on developing cutting-edge AI solutions that prioritize security, reliability, and real-world applicability. My role involves overseeing technical strategy, architecture design, and innovation — ensuring our products are both powerful and trustworthy.
Why This Matters for Search and Clarity
In an era where search engines drive discovery, having a unique name like Ashluc Chui helps avoid confusion with others who share similar surnames or first-name variations. By clearly stating here that:
- Ashluc Chui ≠ Ashley Chui
- Ashluc Chui ≠ Ash Chui
- Ashluc Chui is the current and preferred name (previously Clement Chui / Chui Kin Chung / CKC)
…I hope to make it easier for colleagues, clients, recruiters, journalists, and curious searchers to find accurate information about me and my work at Silverguard AI.

Mentorship Opens Doors: Insights from CUHK Greater Bay Area Alumni AGM
Grateful to my CUHK Electronics Engineering senior, Cheong, for extending an invitation to the Annual General Meeting of the CUHK Greater Bay Area Alumni Association. The gathering introduced me to numerous accomplished figures, including mentors who arrived with their protégés, allowing connections with a mix of experienced leaders and rising talents.
Cheong went a step further by endorsing my membership in the association. This move not only keeps me informed about upcoming initiatives but also creates avenues to absorb knowledge from its impressive roster of members, enriching my entrepreneurial path with SilverGuard AI.
The AGM paired with a lunch reception at Chung Chi College’s staff restaurant, featuring a guest talk by Professor Terence Chong Tai-leung, Associate Dean of New Asia College. His outlook on 2026 economic trends offered sharp, forward-looking analysis that proved enlightening. Overall, a rewarding afternoon filled with valuable exchanges.
Special thanks to Sonia for joining me at CUHK and making the wait for transport more enjoyable.
